Making a difference

My scholarship put me in the position to attend my course and have my child in day care, an opportunity I will be forever grateful for having.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart; it has immensely improved my life & career options.

Ella Parkinson Cheney

Certificate III Aged Care, TAFE Queensland East Coast

TAFE Queensland CAO Jenny Dodd with TAFE Gold Coast Scholarship recipients Perri Elliot and Scott Byrne

This scholarship has given me the opportunity to study the Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance while completing my senior studies, which will put me ahead of my peers when I start job hunting next year.
I have a passion for health and I have very clear career goals; I knew that TAFE Queensland could get me to where I wanted to be, so I followed my desire and was lucky enough to receive a scholarship to fund my dream.

Scott Byrne

Diploma of Nursing, TAFE Queensland Gold Coast

Receiving this scholarship has definitely been the highlight of my year and really turned my life around. Thanks to TAFE Queensland and your scholarship I now have a great job doing what love and also having time to spend with my family. Now also thanks to this my wife can now pursue her goals in finding a career.

John Drent

Certificate III in Patisserie, TAFE Queensland East Coast

I found TAFE online the best method of study for me – with 5 children in school, and me working 3 days/week at an accounting firm, plus doing the bookwork for our farming enterprise, I could study and work on assignments in my own time (usually late at night after kids were in bed). The tutor I had was incredibly helpful and readily contactable if I needed assistance. Thank-you for the support through the scholarship – it has been invaluable in helping me along my journey.

Regina Burge

Diploma of Accounting, TAFE Queensland Brisbane

I am truly appreciative to have been gifted a scholarship. It has helped my family and I move towards our goals.
It has assisted me with all my TAFE expenses and afforded me the opportunity to study the course I had waited so long for. I will now possess a qualification that will take me and my family forward.
