Making a difference

I am very grateful for this opportunity and all the help I have received. The scholarship really aided me in my studies particularly when I was doing my vocational placement and I was unable to work at my usual occupation. The funds also paid for my mandatory vaccinations and trainings required to undertake vocational placement. I can't describe how much stress it took off my life. Thank you so much.

Timothy Sorbello

Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, TAFE Queensland Gold Coast

It was really nice to receive the scholarship because it meant that my commitment and passion for community development was being recognised and rewarded. Studying comes at a cost and living remotely comes with unique barriers and challenges. The scholarship money ensured that there was a nominated amount specifically for my studies, instead of chewing into money that I would otherwise need to offset high living costs.

Mena Waller

Diploma of Community Development, TAFE Queensland North

To hear those words was such a relief and a nice surprise, I finally felt like I was being heard and supported. Now, thanks to TAFE Queensland, I am on the path to a fulfilling and respected career for myself that I can be proud of and demonstrate to my children that no circumstances or losses define you or cement your path.

Candice Grace

Diploma of Nursing, TAFE Queensland Gold Coast

Moving away from home to follow my passion was both scary and expensive, but studying Dental Prosthetics is my calling. So when I found the TAFE Queensland scholarships, I jumped at the chance to apply, because getting one would help with my costs. When I got that phone call saying I was a recipient, I was ecstatic. It was a mixture of relief and excitement because moving cities and starting my studies just got easier.

Keely Horne

Bachelor of Dental Prosthetics, TAFE Queensland Brisbane

My scholarship put me in the position to attend my course and have my child in day care, an opportunity I will be forever grateful for having.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart; it has immensely improved my life & career options.

Ella Parkinson Cheney

Certificate III Aged Care, TAFE Queensland East Coast

I wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart for granting me this scholarship. It has helped me financially towards my VET loan and I can be proud to walk away as a qualified Endorsed Enrolled Nurse.

Thank you SO MUCH for offering me this scholarship. I am very excited for my future career as a nurse.

Kim Bauer

Diploma of Nursing, Tafe Queensland East Coast

This scholarship has given me the opportunity to study the Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance while completing my senior studies, which will put me ahead of my peers when I start job hunting next year.
I have a passion for health and I have very clear career goals; I knew that TAFE Queensland could get me to where I wanted to be, so I followed my desire and was lucky enough to receive a scholarship to fund my dream.

Scott Byrne

Diploma of Nursing, TAFE Queensland Gold Coast

Receiving this scholarship has definitely been the highlight of my year and really turned my life around. Thanks to TAFE Queensland and your scholarship I now have a great job doing what love and also having time to spend with my family. Now also thanks to this my wife can now pursue her goals in finding a career.

John Drent

Certificate III in Patisserie, TAFE Queensland East Coast

I found TAFE online the best method of study for me – with 5 children in school, and me working 3 days/week at an accounting firm, plus doing the bookwork for our farming enterprise, I could study and work on assignments in my own time (usually late at night after kids were in bed). The tutor I had was incredibly helpful and readily contactable if I needed assistance. Thank-you for the support through the scholarship – it has been invaluable in helping me along my journey.

Regina Burge

Diploma of Accounting, TAFE Queensland Brisbane

I am truly appreciative to have been gifted a scholarship. It has helped my family and I move towards our goals.
It has assisted me with all my TAFE expenses and afforded me the opportunity to study the course I had waited so long for. I will now possess a qualification that will take me and my family forward.
